Answer mental health hotline, managing high risk situations, utilizing crisis intervention skills, and providing referrals for concrete resources. Conduct remote clinical assessments with students to evaluate seriousness of presenting problems, providing in the moment support and developing appropriate treatment plans.
Consult with faculty and school administrators and respond to special needs of diverse global student population.
Hours: up to 14 hours weekly (hours of operation Monday - Friday 9am - 7pm, Saturdays remote from 10am-4pm)
Responsibilities
Required Education: LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, PsyD or PHD in Social Work or Psychology
Required Experience: Post-graduate experience in crisis response, college mental health, short-term counseling, and group therapy preferred. Experience working with diverse student populations required. Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and experience working with diverse populations required. NY State license or eligibility (limited permit).
Qualifications
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate range for this position is $60/hour.
