Position Overview
Sunshine Psychological Services is looking for a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will provide essential counseling services to a diverse array of clients including individuals, couples, families, and groups seeking mental health support. Your expertise will help clients navigate their mental health challenges, enabling them to lead healthier, more fulfilling lives.
About the Organization
At Sunshine Psychological Services, we pride ourselves on being a community health clinic that prioritizes mental wellness for all. Our mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals and families can access high-quality mental health care. By bringing together a talented team of professionals, we strive to foster an inclusive and culturally sensitive setting that celebrates diversity and encourages collaboration among staff and clients alike.
Work Environment
This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote work setup, allowing you to operate comfortably from your own home while still being part of a compassionate team dedicated to client care. You will utilize teletherapy tools and platforms to conduct sessions, adapting to clients' needs whether they prefer virtual or occasional in-person visits. This adaptable work environment supports work-life balance while ensuring high-quality therapeutic services can be delivered effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients' needs and develop individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific goals.
- Facilitate therapy sessions across various formats: individual, couples, family, and group settings, focusing on practical approaches and evidence-based methods.
- Regularly monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide age-appropriate assessments and interventions, particularly for children and adolescents dealing with complex family dynamics.
- Lead and facilitate support groups for parents, creating therapeutic environments that address issues related to placement and adoption, especially concerning prenatally substance-exposed children.
- Maintain meticulous clinical documentation in line with best practices and regulatory standards, ensuring compliance and accurate record-keeping.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will primarily serve adults, children, and adolescents facing a variety of mental health challenges, including relationship issues, anxiety, depression, and behavioral concerns. Your role is vital in fostering community resilience and improving individual coping strategies, ultimately contributing to the overall mental well-being of clients across Central Point, Oregon, and beyond.
Qualifications
- Must be a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon.
- A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
- Possession of an active state license to practice therapy.
- A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in the field, showcasing your capability in managing a variety of client scenarios.
Preferred Experience
While a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required, candidates with additional experience in specialized areas such as trauma-informed care, substance use, or child and adolescent therapy may thrive in this position. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools will also enhance your ability to engage with clients in a remote setting.
Compensation and Benefits
This role offers a competitive salary range between $100,000 and $105,000 per year, reflecting your experience and contributions. In addition to a fulfilling career, we provide ample benefits including flexible hours, robust telehealth infrastructure, and opportunities for professional development and continued education.

We believe in nurturing the professional growth of our employees. As part of our team, you will have access to mentorship, ongoing training, and opportunities to participate in workshops and seminars. We encourage you to pursue specialized certifications, expanding your skill set to better serve our clients and advance your career.
