Tender Hands Counseling Services is actively seeking a committed and culturally competent Full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist to enhance our telehealth mental health services. In this role, you will be pivotal in delivering high-quality mental health care to a diverse clientele while working remotely from the comfort of your own space.

Work Environment

This position operates within a remote telehealth setting, allowing you to connect with clients via virtual platforms. As part of our commitment to flexible work arrangements, our therapists enjoy a supportive online environment that enables collaboration with colleagues and provides access to necessary resources. The operational hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility needed to cater to patient scheduling requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth, culturally sensitive assessments of clients to identify mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans that address their unique experiences and challenges.
• Implement a variety of evidence-based therapeutic interventions, considering the individual's cultural context and preferences to enrich the therapeutic relationship.
• Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, utilizing creative therapeutic techniques to foster resilience, promote emotional well-being, and support personal growth.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care and ensure the continuity of treatment.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention to clients experiencing mental health emergencies.
• Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, fostering understanding while providing them with information about available community resources and treatment options.
• Maintain meticulous clinical documentation that adheres to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy in all client records.
• Participate actively in team meetings, case conferences, and professional development sessions aimed at enhancing cultural competency and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest research, treatment methodologies, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health therapy.

Qualifications

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts is required.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment modalities, combined with exceptional skills in cultural competence.
• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, showing an awareness of culturally responsive approaches to care.
• Demonstrated crisis intervention skills and the ability to maintain composure in high-stress situations.
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, with a talent for building rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications to document patient interactions efficiently.
• A commitment to upholding ethical guidelines, professional boundaries, and confidentiality standards at all times.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in a multicultural outpatient setting, particularly in telehealth.
• Proven track record of developing and implementing community outreach programs or educational seminars focused on mental health awareness.
• Familiarity with additional languages that may enhance communication with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time role comes with a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a robust benefits package that includes:
