Atlas Psychological and Counseling Center is actively seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Therapist to provide exceptional telehealth services to individuals navigating the complex journey of trauma recovery. This full-time role allows you the flexibility to work remotely from Quincy, Massachusetts, while making a profound impact on the mental health and wellbeing of our patients.

Work Environment
As a remote team member, you will leverage telehealth technology to connect with patients, utilizing a virtual platform designed to facilitate effective therapy sessions. Your work will adhere to a Monday through Friday schedule, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility required based on the dynamics of patient needs. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to uncover the unique histories and treatment needs of each patient.
- Design and execute personalized treatment plans aimed at facilitating trauma recovery and enhancing resilience through carefully chosen therapeutic interventions.
- Utilize evidence-based therapies, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address trauma symptoms effectively.
- Lead individual and group therapy sessions, guiding participants through the healing process, developing effective coping mechanisms, and fostering a sense of community and support.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, social workers, and other mental health professionals to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to care.
- Provide immediate crisis intervention and emotional support as needed during traumatic incidents or emergencies.
- Educate patients and their families about trauma, coping strategies, and self-care tools, empowering them to navigate their recovery journey.
- Maintain secure and thorough documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and ethical standards, ensuring patient confidentiality and care continuity.
- Engage in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies that enhance the overall quality of trauma-informed care.
- Stay informed about ongoing research and emerging best practices in trauma therapy and mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on individuals experiencing the aftermath of trauma, manifesting in conditions like PTSD, anxiety disorders, and complex trauma reactions. You will be instrumental in guiding these patients through recovery, helping them build resilience and regain a sense of control over their lives.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
- Must hold current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in Massachusetts.
- A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting is preferred, with a focus on trauma-related disorders.
- Proficient knowledge of trauma-informed care principles and interventions is essential.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing for compassionate engagement with patients and their families.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations, demonstrating poise and professionalism.
- Competence in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and various computer applications for patient management.
- A collaborative disposition, eager to work alongside other mental health professionals in a multidisciplinary environment.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapeutic techniques and training in specialized modalities, such as EMDR or DBT.
- Previous involvement in a telehealth setting is advantageous, enhancing your ability to adapt to remote therapy dynamics.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $104,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications. Additionally, our comprehensive benefits package includes:
