Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions to clients struggling with mental health issues related to substance abuse.
• Conduct thorough assessments to identify each client's unique challenges, developing comprehensive and strategic treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
• Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), specifically adapted to the context of substance abuse recovery.
• Maintain accurate and compliant clinical documentation, ensuring all records meet the standards outlined by both state regulations and organizational policies.
• Collaborate regularly with a multidisciplinary treatment team, including other therapists, psychiatrists, and support staff, to ensure coordinated and effective care for clients.
• Educate patients and their families about available mental health resources, support systems, and coping strategies to foster their recovery journey.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adolescents and young adults in school settings, addressing the complex interplay of mental health disorders and substance abuse. Qualifications

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid LICSW license in the state of Massachusetts.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

Step By Step Social Work offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
