Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and mental health assessments to develop personalized treatment plans that focus on each client's unique needs.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques during individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring a tailored approach for promoting healing and personal growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues in regular staff meetings, offering insights and sharing experiences that contribute to a high standard of care.
- Monitor client progress towards therapeutic goals and adjust treatment plans as needed, ensuring effective intervention at every stage of the client's journey.
- Document all interactions and treatment plans meticulously to uphold ethical standards and ensure compliance with organizational policies.
- Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay updated on current trends in therapy and mental health treatment, enhancing your clinical competencies.
- Offer teletherapy options for clients, which can include virtual sessions for those who may need additional support due to mobility issues or geographic distance.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, families, and specific populations such as couples, children, and adolescents. Additionally, experience working with clients from various cultural backgrounds, including clients of color and those from the LGBTQIA community, is significantly valued. The goal is to create inclusive and accessible mental health services for all clients, recognizing the unique challenges they may face.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
- Current state-issued license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in full-time counseling settings is essential.
- Strong communication skills and an empathetic approach to patient interactions are critical.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with a variety of demographics, including couples, families, children, and adolescents, is preferred.
- Clinicians with specialized skills to provide culturally competent care and a comprehensive understanding of issues impact the LGBTQIA community will be given additional consideration.
Compensation and Benefits
