Work Environment
This role offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to conduct sessions from a location that best suits your needs while still ensuring a connection with clients and teammates. Our clinic operates Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, facilitating a balanced work-life integration for our employees. Collaborative meetings and case consultations are conducted via secure video conferencing software, ensuring that you remain connected with your peers and can share insights regarding client care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your day-to-day responsibilities will encompass a range of critical activities, including:
- Conducting and facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the unique needs of clients.
- Administering thorough assessments to evaluate client progress, identifying areas for improvement, and modifying treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to create and update comprehensive care plans for clients.
- Providing educational resources and support to families navigating mental health challenges, helping them to understand symptoms and strategies for recovery.
- Addressing behaviors and barriers that may hinder your clients' progress, applying evidence-based interventions to facilitate better outcomes.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your clients will consist of individuals, couples, and families facing a wide array of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. You will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring that all clients receive culturally sensitive and responsive care.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Active LMHC licensure in the state of Massachusetts.
- Knowledge of medication management practices in mental health care settings.
- Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, along with a strong empathetic approach to client interactions.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with a minimum of two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling will be prioritized. Experience with specific therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or family systems therapy is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
