Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, utilizing evidence-based frameworks to identify individual mental health needs and formulate effective treatment plans.
- Provide ongoing counseling and psychotherapy services to clients, implementing therapeutic techniques tailored to individual circumstances and challenges.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, ensuring patients have access to community resources and additional support services when necessary.
- Facilitate workshops or group therapy sessions, focusing on topics such as coping skills, resilience-building, and psychoeducation regarding mental health.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and assessments in compliance with both organizational policies and state regulations.
- Support clients and their families with resources and coping strategies that foster effective communication regarding mental health issues, enhancing their overall support system.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work with a diverse range of patients, including children, adolescents, and adults experiencing varying levels of mental health challenges. Our patient population may include those managing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance abuse, and other behavioral health issues. Your role will extend to collaborating with schools and community organizations to improve mental health awareness and support for at-risk communities, including incarcerated individuals.
Qualifications
- A Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
- A minimum of two years of professional experience providing direct counseling services to individuals facing mental health challenges.
- Thorough knowledge of therapeutic theories, diagnostic criteria, and evidence-based practices relevant to mental health counseling.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of establishing rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working with specialized populations, particularly in settings that focus on trauma-informed care or substance abuse treatment.
- Proficiency with digital therapy tools and telehealth platforms to facilitate effective remote counseling sessions.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement community outreach programs aimed at increasing mental health awareness and reducing stigma.
Compensation and Benefits
