Key Responsibilities
- Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to understand their unique backgrounds and mental health needs.
- Offer individual and family therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques aligned with the identified needs of clients.
- Manage administrative duties such as billing, documentation, and completing individualized treatment plans and insurance authorizations promptly.
- Formulate crisis plans, safety plans, and relapse prevention strategies, ensuring clients maintain stable functioning and wellness.
- Create comprehensive discharge plans that facilitate smoother transitions for clients re-entering their everyday lives.
- Adhere strictly to all federal and state laws, regulatory requirements, and Genworth's policies and procedures, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Engage in continuous professional development through training, workshops, and mandatory licensure education requirements.
- Actively participate in case consultation and agency meetings to enhance care integration and team collaboration.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The clients you will serve encompass a wide range of backgrounds, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. Focusing on diversity and inclusiveness, you will collaborate with patients to develop tailored therapeutic approaches that promote their overall mental wellness and personal growth.
Qualifications
- A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related mental health field that qualifies for licensure.
- Current licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Therapist in the State of Nevada, with designations such as LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW.
Preferred Experience
While all qualified candidates are encouraged to apply, experience in telehealth counseling, as well as familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), is highly beneficial. Prior experience working with diverse populations and managing crisis intervention are also valuable assets in this role.
Compensation and Benefits
Genworth Counseling Center offers a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and licensure.
