Position: Clinical Pharmacist I
Worksite: 3330 Masonic Drive, Alexandria, LA 71301
Start: ASAP
Shift: 8-hour Day Shifts (varied start times)
Schedule Options:
- 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
- 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
📋 Requirements
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy – Required
- Active State Pharmacist License – Required
- BLS or ACLS – Required
- PALS – Required (for pediatric practice)
- Hospital experience – Preferred
🏥 Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify & dispense medications per physician orders
- Monitor drug therapy for interactions, allergies & appropriateness
- Provide clinical consultation to healthcare providers
- Perform pharmacokinetics & renal dosing adjustments
- Support antimicrobial & opioid stewardship programs
- Educate patients and families on medication use
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
